FAQs

What is DTG? (Direct to Garment)

Direct-to-garment (DTG) printing is a method that uses inkjet technology to print designs directly onto fabric. It delivers vibrant, detailed prints with a soft feel, making it ideal for custom or small-batch apparel production.

DTG Process:

Step 1:

  • After artwork is submitted, it undergoes a thorough review to ensure optimal print quality. This includes checking for compression artifacts, adjusting color profiles, and performing color corrections to ensure the design complements the chosen garment color perfectly.

Step 2:

  • To prepare a garment for DTG printing, it is treated with a special solution that helps the ink adhere properly to the fabric. This is usually done by a machine that sprays the solution evenly across the material for the best results.

Step 3:

  • The design is applied to the garment using a state-of-the-art inkjet printer tailored for DTG printing. It uses fabric-specific inks that deliver vibrant, high-quality prints with a broad spectrum of colors.

Step 4:

  • Once the design is printed, the garment undergoes a curing process to set the ink and ensure its durability. This is usually done with a heat press, which uses heat and pressure to securely bond the ink to the fabric.
